Rensselaer welcomes visitors to our campus year round! Students who are interested in visiting Rensselaer are encouraged to complete our Graduate Student Visit form. The Office of Admissions will be in contact with you shortly after receipt of your request to help schedule your visit to Rensselaer. We will make every effort to connect you with faculty, staff, and current graduate students in your anticipated field of study. Take a tour of the campus, see the emerging campus landscape, and enjoy lunch, compliments of the Admissions Office. While appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, please allow a minimum of two weeks for us to schedule your appointments.

As part of the overall year-round visit program, the Diversity in Graduate Studies Visitation Program continues Rensselaer’s commitment to cultural enrichment and academic excellence through the recruitment of a diverse student body. How do we define diverse? We are looking for students who bring intellectual, geographic, gender, and ethnic diversity to our campus. Students may apply for the visitation program by completing our Graduate Student Visit form. Funding assistance may be possible. Applicants will be contacted within five business days of receipt of the request. The one- or two-day highly individualized/customized visit allows prospective students the opportunity to meet with interested faculty; visit laboratories and other campus facilities; and interact with current graduate students. Additionally, campus tours and visits to several of the student services support centers and other staff or administration can be arranged. We expect that students participating in the visitation program will find Rensselaer’s academic and research opportunities so attractive that they will take the next step and complete the application for graduate study. Participation in Rensselaer’s visitation program, however, in no way guarantees admission to any graduate program at Rensselaer.
